Purpose of the Association
The Mentone Girls’ Secondary College Past Students’ Association (PSA) was established in June 1990. It operates through a small annually elected executive. It is an entirely voluntary organisation. A Staff member of the College acts as College Liaison Officer and is a member of the Committee.
The PSA runs a number of events each year including reunions for past students at 5, 10, 15 and 20 years out of College. Held at MGSC and supported by the College, these events are opportunities for past students to reconnect and also an opportunity to raise funds.
The Association provides financial assistance for students who may not be able to participate in certain College activities without some extra help. At times it also provides funds for small items of equipment that can assist multiple students. We are also pleased to sponsor encouragement Awards for Presentation Evening in November when finances allow.
Keeping in touch
We use the school website to keep past students informed of our events as well as using mailouts for reunions. in 2018 we are trialing not mailing out to 15 and 20 year Reunions as addresses are often invalid. There is no membership fee for the Association and all past students are considered members. We have a fairly new Facebook page www.facebook.com/MGSC.Past.Students which we encourage you to join which can be used to get in touch with others or make suggestions and ask questions. It is moderated by a Committee member.
We welcome any interested past students, parents or community members to join the Committee which meets every couple of months to plan events and discuss other business.

Are held in the College VCE Centre. There is a small charge of $10 to cover drinks and food. Save these dates. Booking arrangements will be put in place shortly.
