The Parents and Friends’ Association (PFA) is a friendly organisation comprising every family in the College. It was formed to provide an opportunity for all parents to discuss issues relating to the general welfare and education of their daughters at the school. The Parents and Friends’ Association has the opportunity to participate in varied activities of the school. We support our daughters through involvement in various College events.
Meetings are open to all to attend and are conducted in accordance with democratic procedures that enable the participation of all interested parents in the school community. There is interaction with the Principal team, teaching staff and the School Council. There is no joining fee. Donating a small amount of your time shows your daughters that you value their education at MGSC.

All parents are welcome to attend to be part of the committee. As in previous years the focus is on ways in which parents can support programs and major events at the school. Below is a list of activities and relevant planning meetings.

Key events for 2017
Open Night is on Wednesday 3rd May. The PFA serves tea, coffee and biscuits and is on hand to answer any questions from prospective parents.
The Year 7 Expo is on Thursday 18th May. Parents can help by serving refreshments.
The Art Show is where we showcase the work of our VCE art students and will be held in October. Parents can help by serving refreshments.
The PFA also provides the much-valued service of the Second-Hand Uniform Shop, which is open 2.45-3.45pm on Tuesdays and 8.15-9.15am on Wednesdays. If you are able to volunteer your time to help out in the shop, please contact Donna Harrison on 0421 782 123.
