The Health and Physical Education domain provides students with knowledge, skills and behaviours to enable them to achieve a degree of autonomy in developing and maintaining their physical, mental, social and emotional health. This domain focuses on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity in the lives of individuals and groups in our society.

Curriculum Structure

Health and Physical Education are CORE subjects from Years 7 to 10.

Year 7 and 8

Health and Physical Education are taught by the same teacher. The girls have three practical PE sessions per fortnight. Health Education is taught in Semester 1.

Year 9 and 10

Students have separate Physical Education classes and Health Education classes in Year 9. The students also have the option to choose the electives listed below. At Year 10 all students are required to choose ONE Health & Physical Education Elective.
